When it comes to inkjet printers, bigger doesn’t always mean better in the eyes of the experts. That’s because home users don’t mind sacrificing a little functionality to reduce clutter, and on-the-go professionals prefer a printer they can carry around on the road. The HP Officejet H470 purports to print at 22 ppm in black and 18 in color, and weighs in at a diminutive 5 lbs. But do the experts think the HP Officejet H470 can hold its own as one of the top pound for pound printers out there? So far, all signs point to a definitive maybe.
Justin Yu at CNET gives the Officejet H470 a solid 6.8/10, citing the sharp design, reasonably good print speed and low cost per page. M. David Stone of PC Magazine gives the HP Officejet H470 a 4/5 for its flexibility and portability. The Officejet H470 can print via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB, memory card, or PictBridge camera. Stone also notes that on-the-go professionals can pick up a car adapter or a Wi-Fi adapter for added convenience.
The HP Officejet H470 comes in three versions: the basic H470, the H470b with its rechargeable battery, and the H470wbt with battery and standard Bluetooth connectivity. MSRP for the H470 comes out to $249.99, while the H470b and H470wbt go for $299.99 and $349.99, respectively.
