Need a pair of cat ears that twitch and move based on your mood? Probably not. But just in case, MakerBot Operator Josh DiMauro has made a prototype of mechanical feline appendages you can wear using a MakerBot Cupcake and some other pieces. So what motivated DiMauro to make the ears? Not surprisingly, he says it started with a request from a friend during a night of drinking. Then again, cat ears are apparently popular over in Japan, so it’s not like it was a totally random idea. In any case, if this unique prop ever catches on in America, expect Halloween to get a lot livelier in the years to come.
